End Of Week Tune Time!

O.k. to celebrate the weekend here are some sounds that have caught my ear recently and hope you will enjoy too!

First up is a kind of Techy/Housey/Groovy/Electro mix from “Applebottom” for the DJMag podcast. 35 minutes of groovin’ stuff and with a free download link too, get it while you can!

Next is another DJmag mix, this time by Justin Robertson. If you are a fan of Techno then you know what to expect from this guy, a proper Bugged Out style mix!

If you like quality free DJ mixes then (aside from here obviously LOL!) DJmag’s Soundcloud account is well worth following.

Now for some speaker blowing Electro from “Bear Grillz & Datsik” called “Drop That Low”. Nice fun and dirty electronic sounds!

D&B time! With tasty thick bass and bouncy breakbeats and a cool vocal “Skepta – Rescue Me (Sigma Remix)” is right up my alley, it’s been ages since I listened to this style of Drum and Bass but I’ve always loved these sounds!

Finally I have an Electronomist E.P. to be released on the “Searching For Dandelions” label near the end of September… watch this space for more details! Oh… and enjoy the weekend!

This Week’s Faves!

Just some music I am loving listening to this weekend!

First up as a nice loud antidote to the chilled, housey Ibiza vibes that are all around us at this time of year is a massively energetic Hard Dance mix from Nikkdbubble “Back Alley Beef”. Love this style of music and it’s a must listen for any Hard House heads out there!

Next up is Danny Brown- Smokin’ and Drinkin’ (Jack Beats Remix). It’s a nice Techno “Bubbler” (unsure if that’s a real word but I feel it describes my impression of the feel of the track!) with some sweet acid style sounds. Currently a hot track all over this for me is by far the best remix.

Now someone who I’ve followed on Soundcloud for some time… DJ Tweek. One of the latest offerings from him is “New Jack City” a seriously funky house track that’s guranteed to make you shake that ass!

This is something a bit different to what I’d normally post but I do like some stuff like this. Vodge Diper Feat. Ragga Twins – Reggae Bass (MING Remix) is a blend of Trap, Ragga, and Dubstep with some seriously filthy synth sounds and great vocals. The original is quite similar but this remix wins in my opinion.

And finally something more chilled and summery, something to kick back and relax in your garden to. I haven’t personally heard anything from Zero 7 in ages so this is a welcome tune for me. “Red, Blue And Green” is the kind of tune that if I was played it in a blind test I would guess it was a Zero 7 track! This is a good thing though!
